About this Portfolio

Welcome to my EDST3510: Online Learning Environments portfolio. This portfolio reflects my learning, growth, and engagement throughout the Winter 2025 term. As a third-year Educational Studies student and an Educational Developer, I came into this course eager to deepen my understanding of how online learning can be designed to be meaningful, inclusive, and engaging.

Throughout the course, I explored both theoretical foundations and practical applications of online learning design. I had the opportunity to design and implement an online midterm activity using Kahoot for a high school Indigenous Studies course. This experience allowed me to apply instructional design principles such as Backward Design and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and to critically reflect on the role of technology in supporting learner engagement.

This portfolio showcases my reflections, learning artifacts, and evidence of how I’ve achieved the five course learning outcomes. It also includes my key takeaways and plans for future professional development as I continue to grow in my role as both a student and an aspiring educator. I hope this collection demonstrates my commitment to creating thoughtful, student-centered learning environments in both physical and virtual spaces.
