About this Portfolio

Welcome to my EDST3510: Online Learning Environments portfolio. This portfolio reflects my learning, growth, and engagement throughout the Winter 2025 term. As a third-year Educational Studies student and an Educational Developer, I came into this course eager to deepen my understanding of how online learning can be designed to be meaningful, inclusive, and engaging. Whether through Kahoot, collaborative Docs, or guided slideshows, I saw how design choices can support meaningful learning experiences. The second “aha” moment was recognizing the importance of intentional cultural responsiveness —digital tools must be wielded carefully, especially when engaging with Indigenous content and learners. The DOA reflection was essential in showing how decolonizing online education requires awareness of power, voice, and representation. Remaining Questions or Areas for Further Exploration I am still exploring how to design for universal accessibility in online learning. How can I ensure my modules are inclusive to neurodivergent students or learners in low-bandwidth environments? I’d also like to learn more about how AI and adaptive learning platforms can personalize content ethically. Pro...
